Married and honeymooned in the BVI - May / June 2019
We both had a decades long history with the BVI before we ever met, but in 2016 we came to BVI as friends and left completely in love!
Voyage worked with us to provide 4 boats plus one for Tim, Miky and her son Alex who did the video and drone work. It was amazing! We sailed for 4 days before the ceremony and the following day we returned everyone to base…including all of our kids (8 in total with friends) and then sailed alone around the BVI and USVI for 12 more days! It was truly wonderful!
We wanted to be married in the BVI…not a US license and BVI ceremony, so we came in April with a lot of support from Voyage and BVI tourism who managed to get our BVI marriage license & visas sorted out in time to go by ferry to Anegada and plan for a beach braai at whispering pines (thanks to Barry aka Julian Berry) and an amazing ceremony and accommodations at Cow Wreck Beach (special thanks to Tika our wedding planner)…including a meeting with Reverend Erma who would be our BVI wedding official. We had a chance meeting with the island horticulturist and worked with the Seeds of Love campaign for post Irma recovery to plant a tree on Cow Wreck during the ceremony.
With over 30 guests of all ages and sailing abilities, Voyage made everything work…from reservations and arrangements to coordinating a dockside welcome for everyone. We had been doing everything remote/via email since our marriage license trip and things were very much “don’t worry, it’ll be great” and it was. A big thanks to Anne, Andrew (our DJ), Belle, and Tika for the perfect setting, setup, food, and fun!! To Barry and crew at Whispering Pines for the bonfire and grills for the evening before. And to all of our BVI family for making it so special!
Unlike many weddings, where you meet other guests for a few hours...we forced our guests to sail, swim, eat, drink, and live with each other for 4 days before the ceremony…many have become fast friends. In our humble opinion, there is no better way to fall in love and to be married than sailing the BVI on a Voyage Catamaran.

Voyage charters helped us plan our dream wedding – they helped with setting the itinerary so we could bring our guests to all of our favorite spots in the BVI, planned the most magnificent meals for the four day wedding flotilla, and they also catered our wedding from post ceremony appetizers all the way through to the cake.
All of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and on our anniversary everyone reached out to us to ask if we will plan an anniversary trip. I couldn’t have imagined a more magical trip to celebrate our love. Thank you Voyage Charters!
