Packing Tips

  • A very good tip is “pack light” for the BVI
  • You do not need much in the way of clothing
  • It’s all about the sun, sand, and water so swimsuits, wraps, hats, caps and beach shoes are perfect!
  • We encourage that every guest, young and old bring soft, style luggage, rather than hard suitcases, which are not easy to store on the boat
  • With soft fold down bags there is no hassle
  • If you would like to wear boat shoes we recommend they remain onboard for the duration of the charter

Packing tips

  • In wintertime the evenings can occasionally get coolish. We suggest you bring a couple of long sleeve tops.
  • In the unlikely event your luggage arrives after you arrive, we recommend that you pack any important medications and small toiletries items in your carry on bag. A swimsuit is also a good idea. The airport will assist in arranging to deliver your luggage to the most convenient pick up location.

Please be sure to mark your luggage with the VOYAGE charters address:

Sopers Hole Marina
Frenchman’s Cay, West End
Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Emergency Contact

International cell phones are provided to guests upon check-in at the VOYAGE office. Boat phone contact numbers are available prior to your charter to give to your family members. Please feel free to contact the base in order to receive your boat phone number.

The majority of cell phones do work in the BVIs; however, we recommend you call your cell phone carrier and authorize international calling. As a backup, you can always give them the BVI base’s phone number available daily 8am to 5:30pm.
