The lack of any direct flight is a blessing in disguise. The island terrain does not allow enough land to build a full-sized airstrip, therefore, flights are strictly limited to small commercial and private planes. While this does curtail the tourist economy, it also secures the location as a safe haven for sailors and divers for years to come.
